The adventures of little boy Finn
Gabe & I were waging a ferocious battle in our room with stuffed animals and puppets earlier today. Mama heard me yell, “No, wait, I have another necromancer! I have two penguin necromancers!”
Mama described this picture as “The battlefield is strewn with stuffed bodies, stricken warriors of plush.”

Translation: I wish I could have a waterslide. It would have loopty-loops two of them. Then a big drop. And last but not least time to ride it Hahhhhhhhh. It’s awesome! First the loopty-loops then a big big ice cream cone came from the sky!

Translation: I am thankful for games like Uno and cats and dogs. And I am thankful for movies. And school. And toys. And food. And books. And family.
(Note from Daddy: At least we made the list!)

I entered the following drawing in the 2nd Annual IKEA Global Soft Toy Drawing Competition!
Here’s the scoop: Ten winners will have their designs produced and sold in IKEA stores around the world late 2016 as a part of a new campaign promoting children’s development and play. 20 winners will be selected for a chance to have their drawing turned into a real IKEA soft toy, sold in IKEA stores around the world. Also, 3 semifinalists from each store will receive a $25 IKEA gift card.

6-year-old Finn recently started piano lessons, & this week he had his first group lesson, which is sort of an informal mini-recital with the teacher & other students to accustom the kids to playing in front of an audience. I was surprised he would even do this at all, given his record of varying levels of participation in preschool & kindergarten performances. Anyway, parents aren’t allowed in the room during the group lesson, so Mama recorded this after.
