I sang an extended rendition of Old MacDonald in the car today! It was only one line: “And on that farm he had a X, EIEIO”, where the X was different each time! Here’s what I sang, in order:
And on that farm he had a …
grass
branch
stop sign
house
duck
Daffy
street
car
number
mailbox
flowers
lamp post
gingerbread
glasses
tennis ball
sign
big rock
light bulb
dinosaur
… EIEIO
That last O was yodeled, as “oooOOOO!”
Daddy & Ra-Ra told me it was awesome, which it was!

I was trying to build a train track: “Mama, I’m so frusterated!”

School pictures crack Mama up. Fortunately, the little snot trail sneaking out of Finny’s right nostril is really only visible on the 8×10.

Finny: “Mama, I call my daddy ‘Daddy,’ but Gabe calls him ‘Scott.'”
Mama: “Right, because that’s his real name.”
Gabe: “Finn, do you know my dad’s real name?”
Finn: “Ken!”
Mama: “Right! Do you know Mama’s real name?”
Finn: “Uh-huh. Carrie Newborns!”

Finny, holding stuffed shark who is supposedly holding pencil: “Look, Mama, I’m showing Sharky how to make letters. See? He made a F for me.”
Mama: “Wow, yeah, that’s a good F. You taught him really well.”
Finny: “Yeah. Hey, hold onto the pencil, Sharky! (Then in low Sharky voice) NO! Haha. Sharky’s funny, isn’t he, Mama?”
Mama: “He is funny. Hey, where did Sharky come from, anyway?”
Finny: “I dunno.” [It came from Daddy’s.]
Gabe, from the other room: “Sharky has a shady background.”

Mama said this: “Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet, sparkly-eyed, silly Finn. He surprises me and makes me laugh every day, and I am proud to be his mama.”
Daddy said this: “Finny’a mama took this fabulous picture of our boy Finny, who will be 4 in just a few more hours!”
